Alessandra Giliani is thought to have been an Italian natural historian. She is best known for her work in anatomy and pathology. The historic evidence of her existence is limited. Some historians believe that she was a fictional character invented by Alessandro Machiavelli. If she lived, it would have been from about 1307 - 1325.
